Comments: This is a master-museum piece. Super combination from a big fluorite on sparkling sphalerite and dolomite. The Fluorite is light purple and the rim is more dark. Also the contrast from the different minerals is very aesthetic.

Comments: Well crystallized Copper growing up off Calcite in areas and in others completely coating individual Calcite crystals. The Calcite is yellow but some have red areas where included by Chalcotrichite. Well crystalliz front and back with a natural hole in the center. Superb old timer.

Comments: This is a one-of-a-kind matrix piece with more than 60 pink-and-green Tourmalines embedded in cream-colored Albite accented with lavender Lepidolite. The pocket from which it was removed was apparently narrow because not all the Elbaites have complete terminations, but the effect of the Tourmaline-studded matrix is stunning. The largest Elbaite, shown close up in the middle photo, protrudes from the left side of the matrix, ending in a perfect, flat termination while the other end has a set of multiple, perfect terminations. Its total length is a whopping 14.5 cm, just under 6 inches. The bottom photo is a close up of another group of Tourmalines situated top-right in the first photo. Warning: prolonged perusal of this piece can cause one to believe he or she has been transported to Afghanistan!

The company founder, Richard A. Kosnar, is a world renowned mineral collector and dealer. In 1993, a new mineral species, KOSNARITE, from Mt. Mica, Auburn, Maine was named in his honor for his contribution to the mineralogical community. Comments: A classic specimen of Copper in Calcite from the famous Copper Country District of Michigan. The termination of this incredibly sharp and distinct scalenohedral crystal is nearly optic grade, which gives way to show the amazingly bright inclusions of Native Copper throughout. The form of the crystal along with the SUPERB striations and smooth undistorted faces make this one of the finest single crystal examples of this material that I have handled. The base of the crystal shows a few patches of exposed, oxidized Copper along with a few minor spots of mint-green Malachite. Complete all the way around, and aside from a few very minor abrasions, is in perfect condition. Perhaps the most prestigious and highly sought after "inclusion" Calcites in the world.

I've been selling rocks and minerals since 1992. It started by accident. I was collecting milky quartz in Connecticut when I hit a vein that a few friends and I followed STRAIGHT DOWN for almost 20 feet (I'm not kidding). We were looking for the best piece for our collection. We wound up with thousands of nice crystals. I still have 5 good specimens from that find, but the others were the start of this business.

Comments: An absolutely incredible example of chrome tourmaline from Tanzania. This specimen has some of the most incredible color I have EVER seen in a tourmaline specimen! I would say that the crystal has the same "wow-factor" as the finest Paraiba tourmaline. The color is totally unique and beyond anything I have ever seen in any other chrome tourmaline. The habit is also somewhat unusual compared to other chrome tourmaline specimens I have seen from the region. The crystal consists essentially of a complex pinacoidal tourmaline termination with an incomplete back. The crystal is gemmy and could likely yeild a substantial gem, as a significant portion of the crystal is quite clean. While the color shows up a slightly bluish green in the pictures - in person it is an absolute ELECTRIC emerald green.

Comments: Has 6 distinct native Silver wires standing up along the top of the matrix. The largest wire forms an L shape, positioned near the right side of the specimen. It measures 7/8 in length X near 1/4 inches wide at the thickest part of the L. The other wires range in size from 1/4 to 1/2 inch tall, and the matrix is richly included with masses and wires of Silver as well as massive black Acanthite. The back of the matrix has been sawed.

Comments: Major tourmaline with nice lepidolit cristals sparkled all around the piece.Also a very classic locality for these tourmalines.You can see many pieces on the market but SO FEW of that quality with some REAL pink and green colors.Many of them are usually white and need a 2000 watts on the back... to have the pink coming and to say it is pink, especially in the large ones. This one is a must, a major piece in any collection! You can see the photo of it in my hand and understand it is really a large specimen extremly aesthetic.

Comments: A monster from Chivor mine! This gorgeous killer specimen of emerald has a large aggregate of long crystals that is dramatically layed down the white matrix. The emeralds are partially twinned and intersected and have perfect shapes and terminations. Comments: Very lustrous bright blue Azurite crystals form a radiating crystal cluster resembling a rose. The crystals are well formed with many sharp crystal faces, with the largest crystals measuring to 10mm length and 12mm width. The crystals are very lustrous, with an overgrowth of Azurite microcrystals adding extra sparkle. These Azurite roses are a floaters, typically forming in a clay matrix. A attractive miniature!

I would like to introduce my custom mounting service for the display of fine mineral specimens. The purpose of a custom mount is to securely hold specimens at the optimum viewing angle for maximum visual impact. The process involves making a cast of the mineral using a modern durable molding compound. This cast provides a perfectly contoured base which cradles the specimen in a very secure and stable manner. The base is hand trimmed, sanded and painted to be as inconspicuous as possible. Attention to detail at every step of the process gives my bases where seen a crisp, clean look reminiscent of the old museum mounts in the Smithsonian and contemporary mounts at the American Museum Of Natural History. I originally developed this process to display my own specimens, and am now proud to offer it as an alternative to acrylic bases.

Comments: One very large section of an even larger crystal of canary yellow Sulfur. About half of the surfaces of this specimen are conchoidal cleavages. On the bottom (not in photo) there are some uneven non-cleavage surfaces. The rest is a highly etched surface with one large hole which into the sulfur and curves with a total depth of a little over 3 cm (1st picture). These large specimens form in large vugs in the Limestone approximately 10 feet down from the surface.

We have progressively mined green apophyllite, scolecite and cavansite from our own sites in Maharashtra, India and hence, we have access to the top grade, the medium and the low grade of these minerals.
Today we are a major mineral company exporting zeolites from the Deccan Traps, and various minerals from India to all corners of the world.
We attend the Tucson and the Munich Show every year.
Most of the minerals I offer have been purchased directly from the mine personnel,
but from time to time I also have the possibility to collect minerals by myself.
Although there exist uncountable possibilities to collect minerals in the field
or in abandoned mining districts, over 80% of the top quality mineral specimens
from Mexico are recovered from active mines. Unfortunately many mines have closed
or have reduced their production in the last few years due to extremely low metal
prices in the world market, consequently it is getting more and more difficult
to find this high quality. Nevertheless I will continue with my efforts in
exploring Mexico for the finest mineral specimens. You will find major updates
after each Mexico trip and generally the new top specimens appear first on this
